18A – Create a Customer Avatar

The intended client would like a job in which they can enjoy different things such as competitiveness, hard work and participate in all kinds of sports environment which can stand out. He tends to drive a very good and very useful car like a black BMW M5.
the customer doesn't like spending time on the television much, nor is he a big fan of theaters. At home, the client enjoys his free time playing video games such as fifa or COD. He has a Latin wife, and he has two children, a girl and a boy.

Clients are between 18-30 years old and are at their peak of happiness. Some may have differences since a graduate school client does not think the same as an undergraduate freshman.

I have a lot in common with my client since he and I share likes for sports, sports cars and we don't really like watching television but we do like to play video games from time to time.

  1. Hey Javier, I love your customer avatar! It's great that you were able to figure out what characteristics your avatar may have based on what your target demographic is. You may want to consider that, according to data (which I believe is primarily based on US populations), millennials are having children at older ages than previous generations have, so clients between the ages 18-30 may not have children yet. However, this may differ in Latin America. Nice work!

  2. Hi Javier,

I like the specifics you mentioned about your prototypical customer. For me it was difficult to define a prototypical customer because of how many people my product applied to. I found it interesting that you mentioned some very specific traits of your customer such as driving a BMW M5 and that they are not a fan of theaters. I wonder why the customer has two children? Is this because of the product?

  3. Hey Javier,
I like the avatar, he reminds me of the Fonz. I thought including the kids was an interesting idea, as a lot of the young guys I know aren’t looking to have kids anytime soon. That being said, I did grow up with a lot of church folk who got married at like 20, so I didn’t find it weird or anything. I just got me thinking about how much of the pace of your life is set by your culture, and how that’s going to throw off some demographic-based advertising.

  4. Hi Javier,

Great blog post! You did a great job describing your avatar and including the traits, likes and dislikes, and hobbies that your customer would probably engage in. It is great that you have a lot in common with your customer because then you are able to tailor to their needs based on your experiences. Overall, great job!
